Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Donates Robots to Assist Medical Staff at Nan Hospital and Sansai Hospital

On Wednesday, 15 April 2020, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn donated the “Pinto Robot”, the quarantine delivery robot, and the “Mirror Robot”, a robot with telepresence system, to Nan Hospital and Sansai Hospital in Chiang Mai.  The robots will assist the medical staff, facilitate treatments and reduce the spread of COVID-19.

The CU-RoboCovid project, a cooperative effort between Chulalongkorn University’s Faculty of Engineering, Hive Ground Robotics Co., Ltd. and Obodroid Corporation Co., Ltd., joined the Royal Thai Air Force to set up the robots at the hospitals as intended.  Air Chief Marshal Manat Wongwat, the Commander of the Royal Thai Air Force, was present as lead executor for the delivery of the robots.
