Chulalongkorn University Announcement Extension of Temporary Workplace Closure as a Result of COVID-19 Pandemic (No. 2)

With reference to Chulalongkorn University Announcement regarding Temporary Workplace Closure as a Result of COVID-19 Infection Outbreak dated 21 March 2020, Chulalongkorn University Announcement on an Extension of Temporary Workplace Closure as a Result of COVID-19 Infection Outbreak dated 27 March 2020, and Chulalongkorn University Announcement on Temporary Closure of Workplaces outside the Bangkok Metropolis as a Result of COVID-19 Infection Outbreak dated 28 March 2020, the government has presently issued the following announcements:

• Extension of the Declaration of an Emergency Situation in all areas of the Kingdom of Thailand (No. 1) dated 28 April 2020;
• Extension of the Announcements issued by the Cabinet pursuant to the Declaration of an Emergency Situation dated 28 April 2020;
• Extension of the Announcement regarding the Regulations, Announcements and Orders issued by the Prime Minister pursuant to the Declaration of an Emergency Situation dated 28 April 2020;
• Extension of the Declaration of an Emergency Situation to be in effect from 1 May 2020 to 31 May 2020, covering all three announcements described above.
• In addition, the Prime Minister has issued a regulation by virtue of Section 9 of the Emergency Decree on Public Administration in Emergency Situation B.E. 2548 (No. 4) dated 29 April 2020, ordering all announcements and orders by the Bangkok governor, provincial governors, communicable disease control officials, and authorized personnel on immigration, which were issued before the regulation taking effect, imposing prohibitions, granting permissions or providing reliefs, to continue to be in effect until further regulation, announcement or order stating otherwise.

The University hereby announces an extension to the temporary closure of its workplaces within and outside the Bangkok Metropolis until May 31, 2020. 

The University asks that staff members continue to comply with Chulalongkorn University Announcement regarding Temporary Workplace Closure as a Result of COVID-19 Infection Outbreak dated March 21, 2020. 

This announcement shall take effect immediately until further notice.
