The National Research Council of Thailand organized the “Thailand Research Expo 2020” at the Centara Grand and Bangkok Convention Centre, during 2-6 August 2020. This year’s expo highlighted research that supported the sustainable development of the country.

On Sunday, August 2, 2020, Prof. Dr. Chakkaphan Sutthirat, Vice President for Research Affairs, as Chulalongkorn University representative, received the accredited certificate for the “Training for the Trainers” program. The certificate was given by Assoc. Prof.  Soranit Siltharm, Permanent Secretary to the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation.

In the afternoon, Professor Dr. Bundhit Eua-arporn, President of Chulalongkorn University, also joined the seminar and was one of the speakers on “Turning Around the COVID-19 Crisis with Medical Innovations – Biomedical Engineering and Artificial Intelligence”.

For the event, Chula research and inventions were exhibited in the Research University Network Thailand (RUN) exhibition, and included the Robotics cluster, ASEAN cluster, Health cluster, and outstanding inventions, like the Shield+: Protecting Spray for fabric masks.

Chula is the place to discover one’s true individuality and the years I spent here were most enjoyable.
