Free Workshop and Seminar on Conspiracy Theories, the Media and Covid-19

BALAC, (The BA Program in Language and Culture), Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University, cordially invites all to attend a workshop and a panel discussion on “Conspiracy Theories, the Media and Covid-19”.  The event will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at 14.00 – 16.00 hrs., at the 9th Floor, Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Building, Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University. The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has brought about a rise in conspiracy theories with very real consequences for society.   BALAC, therefore, is bringing together CU students, interested high-school students, and young media professionals to share experiences, insights, and address this issue in a workshop on Covid-19 conspiracy theories.

The panel discussion will be from 17.00 – 18.30 hrs.  Notable panelists will include:

2)    Voranai Vanijaka, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Thisrupt

3)    Pravit Rojanaphruk, Senior Staff Writer, Khaosod English
