Chula Engineering Students Win Video Contest at Green Scrap Metal Thailand 2020

October 30, 2020 – Mr. Santiparp Poonsawat, Miss Thavalrat Kaewngarm, Mr. Natchakhun Theerakitkosol and Mr. Navig Sriupatcha, students of the Department of Mining and Petroleum Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, were awarded the first prize and popular vote in the video contest for sustainable recycling of scrap metal at the “Green Scrap Metal Thailand 2020: Today and Tomorrow” international conference.  With the advisership of Dr. Theerayuth Pengsa-ard, the students came up with the concept of “How to Recycle Scrap Metal to stay away from U-POPS”, which aims to turn the scrap metal value chain green through the promotion of BAT/BEP to reduce U-POPs releases from recycling facilities.
