National Conference on Tai – Thai Folklore and Rice Culture

The Institute of Thai Studies of Chulalongkorn University will organise a conference on “Tai -Thai Folklore and Rice Culture” on Monday, 15 January 2018 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, at Room 105 Maha Chulalongkorn Building. The purpose of the conference is to share and exchange knowledge on the topic of rice in relation to Tai and Thai culture.  The conference also supports multidisciplinary research in Thai studies and creates a research network on the different forms of culture. At the event, there will be a book launch on “Thai Folklore in the Rice Culture” and research presentations under the concept of “Rice and the Unique Culture in each Region” and “Rice and the Modern Culture”.
