Announcement on Opening-Closing of University Gates and Traffic Management for Graduation Activities (Academic Year 2020)

Chulalongkorn University would like to announce the opening-closing of CU Gates and traffic management during the Graduation Rehearsals (22 April-16 May 2022), Group Photo Sessions on the weekends (23 April-14 May 2022), and Commencement Days for Academic Year 2020 (19-20 May 2022).

Vehicle Gates

Vehicle Gates near the Chulalongkorn University Auditorium

• The gates at the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy will be open 24 hours.
  On Saturday, 23 April 2022, the screening of cars will start at 5.00 hrs.  Only vehicles with a license to attend the Commencement Ceremony, the CU Parking permit, or the CU staff I.D. card will be allowed entry.  Vehicle owners with permits may park at the carpark buildings or at an affiliated faculty and staff parking lot.

• The gates at the Faculty of Political Science will be open from 06.00 – 18.00 hrs.  Screening will be in front of the Wisit Prachuabmoh Building.  Only vehicles with license to attend the Commencement Ceremony, CU Parking permit, or CU staff ID card will be allowed entry. For private cars, parking is available at Parking Building 3 (next to Kasem Uthayanin Building).

• The screening point at Chulachakrabonse Building is reserved only for vehicles with a license to join the Commencement Ceremony or a CU Parking permit of the Faculty of Engineering.

• The gates at the Car Park 2 Building (Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Building) will be open from 05.00-22.00 hrs.  Cars can enter the parking building from Henri Dunant Road.

All vehicle gates will be open from 06.00 – 19.00 hrs.

Pedestrian Gates

All pedestrian gates on the both sides of the campus will remain open from 06.00 – 19.00 hrs. No screening is required.

CU Shuttle Bus Operation

The CU Shuttle Bus service No. 1, 2 and 5 are available regularly Monday – Friday.  During the Rehearsals and Group Photo sessions between 22 April and May 20, 2022, Shuttle Bus No.1 will be operating on Saturdays and Sundays, and service for Bus No.3 will be added on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, from 06.00 – 19.00 hrs.

• The gates at the Faculty of Political Science will be open from 05.00 – 22.00 hrs.
  (All vehicles will be screened at the front of the Wisit Prachuabmoh Building and only vehicles with license to attend the Commencement Ceremony, a CU Parking permit, or the CU staff I.D. card will be allowed to enter.  For private cars, parking is available at Parking Building 3 (next to Kasem Uthayanin Building).

• The gates at CU Dharma Center (Chula Soi 9 Gate) will be open 24 hours.  Only vehicles with a license to attend the Commencement Ceremony, the CU Parking permit, or the CU staff I.D. card will be allowed to enter.

• The gates at the Car Park 1 building (next to Chamchuri 9 Building) will be open 24 hours.  Cars may enter the parking building via Henri Dunant Road.

Pedestrian Gates

On the Commencement Days, all pedestrian gates will have a screening point. Those who wish to enter must complete the online pre-registration. For your convenience, make sure the QR Code is readily available in your phone or printed out on paper to be presented before entering.

• The gates at the Faculty of Science will be open from 03.00 – 22.00 hrs.
• The gates at the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy will be open from 03.00 – 22.00 hrs.
• The gates at the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy (Chamchuri Square), Faculty of Political Science, and Faculty of Arts will be open from 05.00 – 22.00 hrs.

• The gates at Chamchuri 5 Building will be open from 03.00-22.00 hrs.
• The gates at the Student Dormitory, Sasin, CU Dharma Center, and Faculty of Law will open from 05.00-22.00 hrs.

For the convenience of those participating in the graduation activities, during the rehearsals (Saturdays – Sundays), the canteens at the Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Building and Mahitalathibet Building will be open to sell food and beverages, from Saturday 23 April 2022 onwards.
