Opening of Siam Innovation District

 Siam Innovation District is now in full swing since the opening ceremony on Thursday, 22 March 2018.  The inauguration and signing ceremony for the cooperative agreement between the governmental agencies and private companies was held at KBank Siam Pic-Ganesha Center of Performing Arts. Presided by Dr. Suvit Maesincee, Thailand’s Minister of Science and Technology,  the signing ceremony was attended by key partner representatives, including Professor Dr. Bundhit Eua-arporn (President of Chulalongkorn University), Ms. Kattiya Indaravijaya (Co-President and Executive Director at Kasikornbank Public Co. Ltd.), Mr. Thapana Sirivadhanabhakdi (President & CEO of Thai Beverage), and Mr. Chaiyong Puapongsakorn (Governor of Metropolitan Electricity Authority). The objective of the Siam Innovation District is to provide a social and intellectual platform for the community to innovate, share ideas, and foster an environment of developers ready to adapt to the ever-changing world.

 

Thailand’s Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Suvit Maesincee also attended the opening ceremony of “Our Futures 2030” – an open-air event aimed to encourage the community to think, discuss, and envision the future in year 2030. The event was held on 22-25 March 2018 at Siam Square One.

 

The sense of kinship and warmth found in the Chula community is priceless and a treasure worth keeping.
