A big round of applause to Chulalongkorn University Medical Students Mr. Kanjapat Temahiwong (Year 5), Mr. Thisadee Laohaserikul (Year 5), and Mr. Atchawin Inkanuwat (Year 3), for taking home the winning prize from the first Global University Medical Challenge.  The competition was held between 14-15 April 2018 at International Medical University in Malaysia.  The winning team was led and advised by Dr. Sekh Thanprasertsuk, Professor at the Department of Physiology, Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University.

The Global University Medical Challenge brings medical students from around the world to exchange and test their knowledge in the medical field, while providing a chance to network at an international level.  The challenge was attended by 20 university teams from several countries, including Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Thailand.  Students participate in a series of knock-out rounds, with questions that include both pre-clinical and clinical subjects.  The CU medical students made it to the competition’s semi-final and final rounds, achieving the highest score in both rounds.

The sense of kinship and warmth found in the Chula community is priceless and a treasure worth keeping.
