Ans: The CU NEX project is designed to accommodate every aspect of Chulalongkorn University (CU) students’ lifestyle, providing convenience both inside and outside the lecture halls. The project aims to connect students’ learning management database, on campus activities, and off campus lifestyle. With the support of cutting-edge technology and innovation, jointly created by CU and KBank, CU NEX will make Chulalongkorn University become a “Digital Lifestyle University”.
Ans: Students who already have a KBank account may apply for K PLUS service and conduct transactions with KBank, without the need to open a new account. However, additional fees may apply if the KBank account was opened in one province and the ID/debit card was used in a different province.
Ans: Students may open an account and apply for K PLUS service at any KBank branch within the Bangkok metropolitan area.
Ans: No fee is charged to open an account or apply for K PLUS service. However, students must make a 500 Baht minimum deposit when opening a new account at any KBank branch.
*Foreign students must present their passport, student ID card and a letter to certify student status from the Office of the Registrar, Chulalongkorn University.
Ans: Starting from the first semester of academic year 2018, tuition fee payment can be made via the CU NEX application, which can be downloaded from June 1, 2018 onwards. Payments can be made via one of the following methods:
Tuition fee payment can be made via the CU NEX application or any KBank branch, beginning July 2018.
Ans: it would be helpful to have a KBank account, which provides numerous benefits via the CU NEX project – mainly supported by KBank. From June 1, 2018 onwards, the ID card can be used as a debit card and students can have their student ID card issued via the CU NEX application. Students may download the CU NEX application and choose “Student ID Card Issuance”. This makes it possible for the student ID card to be issued anywhere and picked up at any KBank branch.
Ans: Students who have no KBank account can use the barcode obtained from the CU NEX application to make tuition fee payment at any KBank branch. Late payment of tuition fee is subject to a penalty fee at the rate specified by Chulalongkorn University.
Ans: The CU NEX project, a cooperative effort between CU and KBank to make CU a “Digital Lifestyle University”, was formed to assist and enhance students’ life at CU. Tuition payments via KBank channels can be made swiftly and securely, and payment results are available immediately.
Ans: From June 1, 2018 onwards, students may download the CU NEX application anywhere, making it possible to make tuition fee payments by July 2018. If a student is not in Thailand during the tuition payment period, tuition is payable via the CU NEX application in two ways:
Ans: Students can apply for the direct debit service via the CU NEX application, which can be downloaded from June 1, 2018 onwards, free of charge, with no documentation required.
*To apply for direct debit service, students must have a KBank account and the K PLUS application.
Ans: Yes. If a student already has a KBank savings account or wants to open a new account at a KBank branch outside the Bangkok metropolitan area (provincial branches), the account can be used for tuition fee payment. However, additional fees may be charged if a new student ID/debit card is issued and linked to an existing account, and then used at an ATM outside the province in which the account was opened.
Ans: Students who have no KBank account can make tuition fee payment at any KBank branch by using the barcode obtained from the CU NEX application.
Ans: If students cannot make tuition fee payment on their own, they must first download the CU NEX application and choose one of the following payment options:
Ans: Students may open a new account at any KBank branch within the Bangkok metropolitan area by the tuition fee payment deadline established by Chulalongkorn University.
Ans: Foreign students must present to the KBank booth officer their passport, student ID card and a letter to certify student status issued by the Office of the Registrar, Chulalongkorn University (subject to fee charged by the Office of the Registrar).
