Ready to Serve! “46 Food Recipes that Help to Train Swallowing” from Chula’s Faculty of Allied Health Sciences – A Collection of Recipes for Both Sweet and Savory Dishes for the Aged who Have Trouble Chewing and Swallowing Their Food

A lecturer from the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Chulalongkorn University has worked with the Thai Dietetic Association to research and develop innovative food and beverages for the aged and patients who have difficulty chewing and swallowing their food. A total of 46 nutritious recipes for swallowing training are based on the IDDSI (The International Dysphagia Diet Standardization) so that the elderly can enjoy nutritious meals and stay healthy.

Chula Researchers Discover “Highly Effective Antibodies against COVID-19,” Leading to “COVITRAP Nasal Spray” to Curb Infection at the Start

A research team at the Center of Excellence in Systems Biology, Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, has identified “highly effective antibodies against COVID-19” from the human body. These antibodies have been developed into an innovation called “COVITRAP,” the world’s first nasal spray that traps and inhibits the COVID-19 virus using antibodies. This spray has been certified as a medical device, and the team is confident in its efficacy for dealing with COVID-19 alongside other preventive measures.

Chula Faculty of Medicine Released Research Results that “Wang Nam Yen” Thai Herbal Tea Can Stimulate Lactation in Mothers after Childbirth Similar to Modern Medicine

Chula Faculty of Medicine, in collaboration with the Department of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine, has released the results of their research on “Wang Nam Yen” herbal tea formula to stimulate lactation in mothers after childbirth, especially those who have had a caesarean delivery, to solve their problem of scarce breast milk. The herbal tea yielded as good results as modern medicine.  The team aims at expanding to commercial production and export.
