朱拉隆功大学医学院泰国红十字会新发传染病健康科学中心研究了一种检测阿尔茨海默症标记物的血液测试，可以提供10年警告，人们可以据此减缓老年痴呆症的发展。
曼谷2023年1月30日–朱拉隆功大学(ChulalongkornUniversity)医学院泰国红十字会新发传染病健康科学中心(ThaiRedCrossEmergingInfectiousDiseasesHealthScienceCenter)内科神经病学讲师、神经退行性疾病生物标志物项目(NeurodegenerativeDiseaseBiomarkerProject)负责人PoosanuThanapornsangsuth（医学博士）解释道：”阿尔茨海默症在出现症状前有10至15年的潜伏期。症状出现时，患者可能已经失去了大量的脑细胞，恢复或挽救大脑极为困难。现在，我们有一种医疗技术，可以在退休年龄前检测出疾病的存在，让人们能够照顾自己，远离痴呆症。”
