朱拉隆功大学理学院(Chula Faculty of Science)通过对食油微生物的研究，开发了可用于清理海洋溢油的生物产品，同时准备将其用于工业化生产，以实现生态可持续性。
从长远来看，重大海洋漏油事件留下的残余污染物对经济、旅游以及海洋环境产生了不利的影响。为此，朱拉隆功大学理学院微生物系海洋污染处理微生物技术卓越中心在副教授Onruthai Pinyakong博士的指导下采用清洁技术开发出了食油微生物产品。
