쭐랄롱꼰대학교 과학대학 교수진이 기름을 먹는 미생물 연구를 바탕으로 해양 기름 누출을 청소하는 바이오 제품을 개발하고, 생태학적 지속가능성을 위해 산업 등급 생산으로 확장할 준비를 추진하고 있다.
잔여 오염물질을 남기는 대량의 해양 기름 유출은 경제와 관광사업뿐만 아니라, 장기적으로 해양 환경에도 악영향을 미친다. 그 해결책 중 하나가 부교수 Dr. Onruthai Pinyakong의 감독 하에 쭐랄롱꼰대학교 과학대학 미생물학과 Center of Excellence in Microbial Technology for Marine Pollution Treatment가 청정 기술로 개발한 기름 먹는 미생물 바이오 제품이다.
