A New Thai Food Dictionary App is Now Available

The CU Chalermprakiat Center of Translation and Interpretation has launched the “Thai Food Terms Application”, a collection of over 1,500 Thai food terms that will make communication about Thai food with foreigners easier.  The launch was held on Thursday, 9 August 2018, at the Mahachakri Sirindhorn Building, Faculty of Arts.  During the event, the attendees became the first to preview and download the new Thai food dictionary application.

The “Thai Food Terms Application” was developed by the Chalermprakiat Center of Translation and Interpretation, in collaboration with the National Electronics and Computer Technology Center. The app features a dictionary of words related to Thai food, with correct pronunciation and image.  Up to seven languages are available, including English, Chinese, Japanese, French, German, Italian, and Spanish.  Users can search for words by keyword, category, index, or images.  Designed to be functional, fast, and easy to use, the application is compatible with both smartphones and tablets.
