The Community Development Department, Ministry of Interior, in collaboration with the Institute of Asian Studies and the Institute of Thai Studies, Chulalongkorn University, organized an academic forum on “Thai Community Wisdom: Bonding across Borders” and a Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony for information exchange and research development for public promulgation on Thursday August 17, 2023, at the main stage of the Sinlapachip Prathip Thai OTOP Fair 2023, which was held at Challenger Hall 1-3, Impact Muang Thong Thani.
The MOU was signed by Mr. Ansit Samphantarat, Director-General of the Community Development Department, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pavika Sriratanaban, Director of the Institute of Asian Studies, with Mr. Komkrit Chinchana, Community Development Department Inspector, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Jirayudh Sinthuphan, Deputy Director of the Institute of Asian Studies, as witnesses. The goal of the MOU is to collaborate in research on Thai and Asian cultural capitals for the development of learning processes and to serve as a model for product development. The research will also support and coordinate operations, as well as help develop ideas and directions for the connection between Thailand and neighboring countries and Asia regarding community development and basic economy based on existing cultural foundations in Thai and Asian societies.
The “Thai Community Wisdom: Bonding across Borders” academic forum featured interesting topics such as Jer Nan Journey, Thai Yan Lipao Enters International Stage, and Thai Pha Khao Ma Goes to UNESCO.
