Satit Chula Innovation Teams Win TOP 10 BEST INVENTION AWARDS and Over 52 Others at iCAN 2023, Canada

Satit Chula Innovation Hub submitted 19 innovations by teachers and students of Chulalongkorn University Demonstration School and affiliated schools to the “International Invention Innovation Competition in Canada (iCAN 2023) organized by the TORONTO INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY OF INNOVATION & ADVANCED SKILLS on August 26, 2023, in Toronto, Canada.  

The CareCamera innovation by a Satit Chula teacher and his team won the TOP 10 BEST INVENTION AWARDS against 621 innovations from 50 countries.

Over 52 other awards were acquired, including  

  • TOP10 BEST INVENTION AWARDS for CareCamera   
  • TOP20 BEST INVENTION AWARDS for “O-NE CASE” 
  • Organizer’s Choice Award 
  • Jury’s Choice Award   
  • Best Invention Design Award 
  • Best Young Inventor Award 
  • 12 Gold Medals, 7 Silver Medals, and 27 Special Awards 

TOP10 BEST INVENTION AWARDS for CareCamera   

CareCamera is a patient monitoring device that comes with a display and notification system using the vital signs of patients and the elderly who are unable to help themselves at home, including 3 parameters: ECG, fingertip oxygen saturation, and body temperature. It also contains an emergency button that sends a remote signal via Wifi to process critical vital signs and notify relatives or caregivers with an emergency message. Videos and vital signs can be accessed concurrently via a link to observe symptoms and provide aid. The built-in camera in the device will unblock the camera mechanism. This mechanism is only activated during an emergency to maintain patient privacy.   

CareCamera is the work of Mr. Jeerasak Jitrojanarak, teacher from Chulalongkorn University Demonstration Elementary School, Mr. Chayarat Wangweera (Northfield Mount Hermon School), Mr. Kaewkan Yaembangyang (Medical Engineering Division, Ministry of Public Health), and Mr. Parintorn Chaengtawee (Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University).  

The innovation also received a Jury’s Choice Award, Gold Medal, and 3 Special Awards from World Invention Intellectual Property Associations (WIIPA), Korea University Invention Association (KUIA) and Innovation Initiative Co-operative Inc. “The Inventors Circle.” 

TOP 20 BEST INVENTION AWARDS for O-NE CASE 

O-NE CASE is an innovative air purifier that uses UVC rays to kill germs in the air, including the Covid-19 virus, fungi, and bacteria, together with HEPA and carbon filters that can filter and trap them PM2.5 articles, animal fur, and unwanted odors. Designed to be small, lightweight, and modern, this air purifier has also received TIS certification. 

In addition, O-NE CASE has won Best Invention Design Award, Gold Medal, and Special Awards from Innovation Initiative Co-operative Inc. “The Inventors Circle.” 

THhe O-NE CASE innovation is the work of Miss Sirarin Prasitdamrong, Mr. Thaninkit Prasitdamrong (Patumwan Demonstration School), and Mr. Pran Udomsawangsap (Shrewsbury International School Bangkok).  

Other innovations that received awards include:  

  • Oh my back by Miss Pattawan Piboontham, Miss Pattheera Amornpimpant, and Mr. Pichakorn Amornpimpant won the Gold Medal, Organizer’s Choice Award, and 2 Special Awards from Innovation Initiative Co-operative Inc. and Indonesian Invention and Innovation Promotion Association (INNOPA). 
  • Happy Pill Dispenser by Mr. Nathan Chalokepanrat and Mr. Nakan Chalokepanrat won the Gold Medal, Best Young Inventor Award, and 2 Special Awards from Toronto International Society of Innovation & Advanced Skills (TISIAS) and The First Institute of Inventors and Researchers in I.R. IRAN (FIRI). 
  • SAS Smart Alert Sensor by Miss Rawin Choojarukul, Mr. Phasan Sanpanawat, Miss Tanhatai Jittham, and Mr. Pavin Roongrotechaiyaporn won Gold Medal and 2 Special Awards from Toronto International Society of Innovation & Advanced Skills (TISIAS) and Inventors College Organization (ICO). 
  • 5-in-1 Page Turner by Miss Pannaphorn Thongcharoen, Miss Nidcha Witooraporn, Miss Nataksaphon Apikasemsant (Assumption Convent School), and Miss Alicja Kramarczyk (Samsenwittayalai School) won Gold Medal and 2 Special Awards from Toronto International Society of Innovation & Advanced Skills (TISIAS) and Eurobusiness-Haller & Haller Pro Inventio Foundation.  
  • Blink by Miss Nithan Archayutthakan and Miss Noppawan Prawetwararat won Gold Medal and 2 Special Awards from Toronto International Society of Innovation & Advanced Skills (TISIAS) and Organization for Creativity, Innovation, and Invention Promotion (OCIIP). 
  • Specialized Cleaning and Residue Unveiling Bot by Mr. Tantham Jittham (CATS Academy Boston (USA) , Miss Pimpisa Pisarnbutr, Miss Warinsaya Sereepapong, and Miss Pichpanita Methasuriyapong won Gold Medal and 2 Special Awards from Toronto International Society of Innovation & Advanced Skills (TISIAS) and National Association for Science and Research (NASR). 
  • Magic Flexi: Enhancing Practicality & Hygiene in Portable Dining by Mr. Lepakorn Krueasom, Miss Evika Klaisangha, Miss Sunatthida Methawarakorn, and Miss Winnidcha Chotethirapong won Gold Medal and Special Award from Toronto International Society of Innovation & Advanced Skills (TISIAS). 
  • Magic Cool Pack by Miss Chayapa Sriworawilai, Miss Piyasoranee Winayanuwatkhun, and Miss Prin Udomkiatkool won Gold Medal and Special Award from Innovation Initiative Co-operative Inc. 
  • Touchless Eco-Sink by Miss Thanyaphas Traiwitthayakorn and Miss Alisa Traiwitthayakorn won Gold Medal and Special Award from Innovation Initiative Co-operative Inc. 
  • Ice-seperated (Boba-licious)  by Miss Chomchan Sitthikij won Gold Medal and Special Award from Innovation Initiative Co-operative Inc. 
  • The Brainny Booster by Mr. Phuriphat Tangsuebkul won Silver Medal and Special Award from Innovation Initiative Co-operative Inc. 
  • C-credit by Mr. Than Meelapudomchai, Miss Thanyaphas Traiwitthayakorn, Mr. Suranat Keeratiworanan, Miss Romchalee Rattanasiriwilai, and Mr. Phurin Ongwannadee won Silver Medal and Special Award from Toronto International Society of Innovation & Advanced Skills (TISIAS). 
  • Cycloud by Mr. Saran Assabamrungwat, Miss Sarincha Jirapanyawong, Miss Kansinee Jakkrasemasatithkul, and Mr. Peerawas Worawichayawiwat won Silver Medal and Special Award from Toronto International Society of Innovation & Advanced Skills (TISIAS). 
  • JUSTPLASTER by Miss Thanpraphorn Pikul, Miss Peechareeporn Boonyawan, and Mr. Pornpawit Utamapongchai won Silver Medal and Special Award from Innovation Initiative Co-operative Inc. 
  • Narcolepsycue: Device for Preventing Drowsy Driving by Mr. Weerawin Waithoonkiat, Miss Chutirada Santiworapong, Miss Prin Chunnual, and Mr. Yasinthorn Punyawanich won Silver Medal and Special Award from Toronto International Society of Innovation & Advanced Skills (TISIAS).  
  • Wellbeing Connect by Mr. Waranyu Kittithawornkul won Silver Medal and Special Award from Toronto International Society of Innovation & Advanced Skills (TISIAS). 
     
  • Germ Guard Goo by Miss Warinsaya Sereephapong, Miss Pichpanita Methasuriyapong, Miss Pimpisa Pisarnbutr, and Mr. Tantham Jittham (CATS Academy Boston (USA) won Silver Medal and Special Award from Innovation Initiative Co-operative Inc.
