Chulalongkorn’s Innovation Wins Thailand Public Service Awards for "Good” Service Innovation in Public Sector Excellence Awards 2023

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wanchai Treyaprasert, Assistant Vice President for Special Affairs, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tayard Deesudchit, Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, have been granted Thailand Public Service Awards (TPSA), part of the Public Sector Excellence Awards (PSEA) 2023, in the category of “Good” Service Innovation. The award was presented by Mr. Maitree Intusut, Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, in a ceremony held by the Office of the Public Sector Development Commission (OPDC) on September 7, 2023, at the Grand Diamond Ballroom, 2nd floor of Impact Forum, Muang Thong Thani, Nonthaburi.  

The innovation that earned Chulalongkorn University the TPSA 2023 for “Good” Service Innovation was the “Chula High Flow Nasal Cannula (Chula HFNC) for Patients during the COVID-19 in 2021” developed by the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University and the Thai Red Cross Society. The project was spearheaded by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tayard Deesudchit from the Faculty of Medicine.  

Chula’s encouragement and support for research is excellent for teachers, students, and the public.
