[DEADLINE extended!] Call for Papers and Participation: 2024 AUA Academic Conference on Design for Society 

The Faculty of Architecture and the Office of International Affairs and Global Network, Chulalongkorn University are pleased to co-host the 7th Academic Conference under AUA frame, titled “Design for Society,” on May 25-26, 2024 at the Faculty of Architecture, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand. 

This conference aims to explore how design can cater to society’s needs, ensuring sustainable, inclusive, and harmonious growth. It includes four sub-themes, namely, Public Policy, Prosperity, People, and Planet. Selected papers will be invited for publication in “Nakhara: Journal of Environmental Design and Planning,” which is indexed in Scopus. 

Keynote speakers: 

1. Prof. Ezio Manzini, Founder, DESIS Network; Distinguished Professor on Design for Social Innovation, ELISAVA 
2. Mr. Takeshi Yamada, Head of Recruitment at teamLab  

Important dates: 

• Deadline for proposal submission: March 15, 2024 
• Notification of acceptance: March 15, 2024 
• Deadline for full paper submission: May 15, 2024 
• Early bird registration: April 10, 2024 
• Registration deadline: May 10, 2024 
• Presentation at conference: May 25-26, 2024 
• Coordination of post-conference publication work: June-August 2024
