Chulalongkorn’s Faculty of Science Collaborates with BIOLAND in Sensor Innovation Research

Biotechnology, electrochemistry, electronics, digital big data, and machine learning are essential technologies in the food and health industries. These technologies are utilized in product manufacturing processes and diagnostics due to their accuracy, speed, and convenience.

On May 23, 2024, Mr. Felipe de la Morena Casado, Ambassador of Spain to Thailand, and Prof. Dr. Pranut Potiyaraj, Dean of the Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University, signed an MOU between Electrochemistry and Optical Spectroscopy Center of Excellence (EOSCE) and Biolan Microbiosensores, S.L. (BIOLAN) at Room 218, Chemistry 2 Building, Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University. EOSCE, under the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University, specializes in electrochemistry and optical spectroscopy. An international organization consisting of experts from various fields, BIOLAN has continuously been in the market for innovations and developments. The objective of this collaboration is to support cutting-edge innovative research initiatives in the field of sensors for the benefit of Thailand. This will involve creating new user-friendly analytical systems for the food and health industries.

Chula is the place to discover one’s true individuality and the years I spent here were most enjoyable.
