Chula Metallurgy and Materials Science Research Institute (MMRI) Welcomes Executives from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) 

The Metallurgy and Materials Science Research Institute (MMRI), led by Prof. Dr. Yuttanant Boonyongmaneerat, Director of MMRI, welcomed executives from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the DLR research funding agency. The visit aimed to review over 10 joint research projects between MMRI and German agencies, including the Fraunhofer Institute.  One of these collaborations has been recognized by the BMBF as a flagship project of the Thai-German model.

Professor Dr. Pornanong Aramwit, Acting Vice President for research and innovation, presided over the event and presented an overview of Chulalongkorn University’s achievements and its readiness to build large-scale cooperation in research and innovation. 

Recently, Germany and Thailand signed their first bilateral agreement on research and development.  This agreement aims to enhance relations and develop a framework to support research cooperation between the two countries.  The MMRI is prepared to drive this internationalization effort and serve as a bridge connecting research cooperation to various sectors in the future. 

The sense of kinship and warmth found in the Chula community is priceless and a treasure worth keeping.
