Sasin has earned a score of 70.3 for Diversity in the latest QS Executive MBA (EMBA) Rankings 2024, placing it among the top five business schools in the Asia Pacific for Diversity. The QS ranking is a globally recognized system that evaluates universities across various metrics, with the Diversity metric assessing the inclusiveness of the student body and faculty. This recognition underscores Sasin’s role in promoting a rich, inclusive learning environment in the region.
Sasin’s commitment to Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access to Learning at Sasin (IDEALS) goes beyond the QS metrics, however. The school aims to enrich the educational and work experience by offering a global perspective, fostering cross-cultural understanding, and equipping students to thrive in an interconnected world.
Professor Ian Fenwick, Sasin Director, highlighted this achievement: “Our position in the top five for Diversity reflects our dedication to fostering an inclusive and multicultural environment, the success of our IDEALS initiative, and the global perspective it brings to our students.”
Since the appointment of Dr. Drew B. Mallory, Sasin Assistant Professor of Organizational Behavior, as Sasin’s Inclusion Ambassador in 2021, the school has launched numerous internal and community initiatives. Notably, Sasin has partnered with Steps, a local social enterprise, to create the Neurodiversity at Work Research Centre (NWRC), connecting workers with disabilities to meaningful employment. Additionally, Sasin collaborated with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Thailand, the Embassy of Canada to Thailand, and Workplace Pride to launch the Inclusion Toolkit, which provides practical guidance for fostering LGBTQI+ -inclusive workplaces.
“It’s exciting to co-create opportunities for our staff and students that reflect Sasin’s core values and history, openness to new ideas and individuals, while challenging convention and inviting growth. We are privileged to be able to lead in this space among Thai educational institutions and businesses,” said Dr. Mallory.
Sasin’s impressive achievement of ranking in the top five for Diversity in the QS Executive MBA Rankings 2024 for Asia Pacific highlights its unwavering commitment to cultivating an inclusive and multicultural learning environment. This recognition showcases Sasin’s dedication to preparing students for success in a connected world.
