The International Conference on “National Criminal Law in ASEAN”

On March 21, 2019, the Faculty of Law and ASEAN Studies Center, Chulalongkorn University, organized an international conference on “National Criminal Law in ASEAN” at the Siam@Siam Design Hotel Bangkok and Chulalongkorn University.

Prof. Bundhit Eua-arporn, President of Chulalongkorn University, gave opening remarks and Assistant Professor Dr. Pareena Srivanit, Dean of Faculty of Law, welcomed all attendees to the conference.  During the conference, Prof. Valsamis Mitsilegas, Professor of European Criminal Law and Global Security from Queen Mary University of London delivered a keynote speech on “Comparative Criminal Law as a Significant Instrument for ASEAN Security and Development: A European Perspective”.

The conference marks the first step for international academic collaboration in the field of criminal law in the region.
