On November 18, 2024, Chulalongkorn University’s Center for Social Innovation and Impact (CSII) and Bank of Ayudhya (BAY) officially entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to strengthen their collaboration in fostering innovation, talent development, and the integration of cutting-edge technologies into education and financial services. The signing ceremony was held at the Chaloem Rajkumari 60 Building, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok and was attended by key representatives from both institutions.
Event Highlights
The ceremony commenced with opening remarks by Professor Suchada Sukrong, CSII Executive Director, who welcomed guests and emphasized CSII’s mission to prepare students for innovation-driven careers. Khun Saisunee Hanprathueangsil, Head of Digital and Innovation Group at BAY, followed with her own remarks, highlighting the bank’s commitment to digital transformation and innovation culture.
The MOU was signed by:
● Professor Suchada Sukrong, Ph.D. (CSII Executive Director) ● Dr. Ronnakorn Vaiyavuth (Deputy Executive Director, Innovation and Commercialization, CSII) ● Miss Saisunee Hanprathueangsil (Head of Digital and Innovation Group, BAY) ● Mr. Rottapron Ekabutr (Executive Vice President, Head of Consumer Digital Solution Division)
The ceremony concluded with a group photo capturing the milestone moment.
Discussion and Collaboration Overview
During the discussion session, representatives from both organizations outlined their visions for innovation and collaboration:
● BAY’s Focus Areas: Driving digital transformation, integrating AI to create customer-centric solutions, and fostering a culture of innovation through people and talent development. ● CSII’s Focus Areas: Preparing students for innovation-led careers by emphasizing hands-on projects, addressing digital transformation, sustainability, and next-generation technologies.
Key Areas of Collaboration Include:
1. Internship Programs: Providing CSII students with practical, real-world experience at BAY. 2. Curriculum Development: Bridging academia and industry through guest lectures, co-developed modules, and workshops. 3. Capstone & Research Projects: Sponsoring student-led projects to solve real-world challenges. 4. Knowledge Sharing: Regular sessions to exchange expertise and foster innovation among students and BAY teams.
The MOU marks the beginning of a strategic partnership focused on empowering people, advancing projects, and building networks to drive innovation and impact in education and financial services.
