ChulaGENIE: A New Dimension of Generative AI from Chula for Chula Community’s Needs 

After the official launch of ChulaGENIE, Chulalongkorn University’s Generative AI application, which is recognized as the first-ever Generative AI innovation in Thai education, it has proven to enhance the work efficiency of faculty members and staff as well as the learning experience of students. It also revolutionizes learning and research at the university in a highly effective way.

With its features addressing all dimensions of usage, ChulaGENIE, developed specifically for the Chulalongkorn community, has become a professional assistant that helps staff work faster, be more creative, and ensure data security. It has been available for faculty and staff since January and has received positive feedback for enhancing efficiency and simplifying work processes. Plans are underway to expand access to students in March 2025.

ChulaGENIE, developed as part of Chulalongkorn University’s AI policy, integrates the cutting-edge technology of Google Cloud and Model Garden on the Vertex AI platform, catering to the needs of both staff and students in every aspect. It boasts prominent features, including:

• Choose the AI model according to your needs 
• GENIE: Fast and suitable for general tasks 
• GENIE PLUS: Knowledgeable and suitable for in-depth work 
• Support for various data types: Including PDF, DOCX, and images 
• Secure closed system: All data is stored securely within Chulalongkorn’s system.
