Chulalongkorn University extends its heartfelt congratulations to Associate Professor Dr. Kanis Saengchote, Deputy Dean for Research at the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy and a faculty member in the Department of Banking and Finance, for receiving the Puey Ungphakorn Award for Outstanding Young Economists 2025

This prestigious award, organized by the Puey Ungphakorn Institute in collaboration with the 50th Anniversary Bank of Thailand Foundation and seven academic institutions, is presented to young economists who produce high-quality academic work. The award aims to recognize and inspire young economists to contribute continuously to the field through impactful research. 

Associate Professor Dr. Kanis Saengchote is an emerging outstanding economist specializing in banking and financial economics. His research stands out for its focus on real-world economic problems, leveraging micro-level data such as blockchain data, credit bureau records, and asset transaction information to analyze market behavior from a financial economics perspective. His research work has been published in leading international journals in the fields of banking and financial economics.
