Chula & Think R K Co., Ltd. Collaborate to Launch AI-Driven Smart City Initiative with VendWeGo® Integration 

Chulalongkorn University and Think R K Co., Ltd. have embarked on a collaborative venture, the Chula X VendWeGo® project, aiming to integrate advanced digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI) through VendWeGo® screens. This initiative aspires to transform the Siam Square, Sam Yan, and Suan Luang areas into prototypes for future smart cities. 

Memorandum of Understanding Signing 

On March 14, 2025, at the Chula Narumit House, Chulalongkorn University, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed to formalize the project collaboration. The ceremony was attended by Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat, the President of Chulalongkorn University, and Mr. Pakphoom Permmongkol, Managing Director of Think R K Co., Ltd. Witnesses included Professor Dr. Pornanong Aramwit, Vice President for Research and Innovation at Chulalongkorn University, and Mr. Sunthorn Suphanphayak, Deputy Managing Director of Think R K Co., Ltd.

Project Overview 

The Chula X VendWeGo® project focuses on deploying VendWeGo® smart digital devices to offer comprehensive digital solutions (One-Stop Digital Solutions) that will facilitate communication, payments, space bookings, and various services efficiently. By installing these devices in the Siam Square, Sam Yan, and Suan Luang areas, the project aims to create a seamless digital ecosystem, serving as a model for smart city development. The system will be easy to use, secure, and able to analyze intelligent data to meet the needs of users and businesses.

Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University, emphasized Chulalongkorn University’s dedication to innovation for societal benefit:

Collaborating with Think R K Co., Ltd. in the Chula X VendWeGo® project links the potential of education, research, and technology, along with the application of AI to develop a comprehensive digital innovation space. The VendWeGo® screen, a modern communication and service device, will play a crucial role in connecting the Siam Square, Sam Yan, and Suan Luang areas into a digital innovation prototype, supporting future technologies and meeting the needs of urban society efficiently. This project is also an important prototype for developing Smart Cities and smart communities in Thailand in the future.”
