On July 21, 2025, Chulalongkorn University’s Office of International Affairs and Global Network organized the “Global Citizenship for Peace through Diversity & Inclusivity” forum at CU Social Innovation Hub. Chulalongkorn University President, Prof. Dr. Wilert Puriwat, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Palanee Ammaranond, Vice President, gave a warm welcome to the participants.
This leadership forum serves as the opening activity for the APRU SDG Education for Global Citizenship 2025 in Thailand. The keynote speaker, H.E. Mr. Abhisit Vejjajiva, the 27th Prime Minister of Thailand, emphasized the paramount importance of multilateral concepts and the crucial role of our youth in redefining peace within the context of today’s complex world. Additionally, senior experts from various professions were invited to present different perspectives and approaches to promoting peace, applying the transformative experiences of Thailand and Southeast Asia. This includes experiences in policy participation, historical analysis, grassroots movements, and multilateral peace mediation strategies through diplomacy, regional negotiations, mediation, and awareness-raising through cross-sector cooperation. The aim of the forum is to empower youth to prepare for leadership in a resilient and sustainable world.
