“CU Freshy Games 2025” Opening Ceremony 

The Student Government of Chulalongkorn University recently held the “CU Freshy Games 2025.” The University President, Prof. Dr. Wilert Puriwat, presided over the opening ceremony on August 14, 2025, at Chulalongkorn University Stadium.

The opening ceremony began with a parade performed by first-year students, followed by a report by Ms. Praipailin Pimwan, a third-year student from the Faculty of Engineering at Chulalongkorn University, serving as the chairperson of the CU Freshy Games after which the President delivered the opening remarks and words of advice to the new students. This was followed by the torch relay, performances by sports clubs, and traditional sports competitions. 

“CU Freshy Games 2025” Opening Ceremony 

The objectives of the games are to build unity and foster friendship among new students in the university through sports activities, as well as to develop characteristics that enhance morality and ethics, including honesty and integrity, responsibility, patience and resilience, discipline, fairness, respect for rules and regulations, sportsmanship, and making productive use of time. This year’s “CU Freshy Games 2025” takes place from August 14 – September 12, 2025, comprising competitions in 43 types of sports as well as basic training on 2 sports.
