Chula–Krungthai Bank Extend People Excellence Collaboration to Build Future-Ready Talent 

Chulalongkorn University and Krungthai Bank Public Company Limited continue their strategic collaboration to advance education and human resource development under the People Excellence project. The initiative focuses on enhancing the capabilities of personnel from both institutions while transferring knowledge to society. The signing ceremony was presided over by Prof. Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University, and Mr. Payong Srivanich, President and CEO of Krungthai Bank, on September 1, 2025, at Chula Narumit House.

Prof. Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University, stated: 

“Chula has initiated several projects with Krungthai Bank under this collaborative framework to equip our students with financial literacy, in line with the university’s mission. We also promote and support social enterprises, enabling students to gain real-world experience working with Krungthai Bank alongside their studies. Upon graduation, they are job-ready and able to apply their knowledge to benefit society. Furthermore, the outcomes can be extended to various projects beyond finance alone.”

Mr. Payong Srivanich, President and CEO of Krungthai Bank, said: 

“Our collaboration with Chula under People Excellence is not limited to students but also includes university staff, with plans to extend this knowledge to external personnel and the general public through various programs. Krungthai Bank is committed to sharing expertise to ensure well-rounded benefits for participants. This cooperation not only develops quality human resources for society but also aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), emphasizing education and inclusive economic growth.” 

Previous collaborations between Chulalongkorn University and Krungthai Bank have delivered concrete outcomes through various projects and activities, creating opportunities for students and staff to gain real-world learning experiences and develop skills for the rapidly changing world. Highlights from the KTB Chula Student Enterprise initiative include: 

  • Project-Based Internship opportunities for students. 
  • Pitching sessions for student projects. 
  • The Debt Management & Financial Literacy Program for Chula staff promotes sustainable financial knowledge and debt management. 
  • The Flexible Hour Part-time Program for students. 
  • The Krungthai Campus Application serves as a platform for learning and well-being for students and staff. 

Looking ahead, Chulalongkorn University and Krungthai Bank plan to launch new programs such as the Investment Boot Camp for Chula Students, Wealth Creation & Tax Planning Course for Chula Staff, and Core Biz & Leadership Program to empower the next generation and university personnel. Together, both institutions aim to foster a learning society that grows in tandem with the sustainable development of the nation. 

Chula’s encouragement and support for research is excellent for teachers, students, and the public.
