Ajarn Sriya Netnoi, Director of Chulalongkorn University Demonstration Elementary School and Associate Dean of the Faculty of Education, together with Asst. Prof. Piengta Kithiranyawong, Deputy Director for Administration, and representatives from the school and the Chula Zero Waste project, welcomed the delegation. They presented an overview of Chulalongkorn University’s waste management system, led by Mr. Korb Limsuwan, Director of Physical Resource Planning, Design, and Information at the Office of Physical Resources Management and Manager of the Chula Zero Waste Project. In addition, Dr. Kaetthach Kanchanchumaburop, Assistant Director for Student Affairs, presented the school’s waste management initiatives, such as the Waste Bank and “The More You Sort, the More You Gain” programs.

After the briefing, the delegation toured the school’s waste management facilities and cafeteria and later visited the main university canteen area. The goal was to explore approaches that could be adapted to advance municipal waste management policies, strengthen collaboration, and integrate efforts between public and private sectors to reduce and separate waste at the source. These practices aim to ensure compliance with relevant laws, follow proper technical guidelines, remain environmentally friendly, and support the country’s sustainable development goals.

Chula is the place to discover one’s true individuality and the years I spent here were most enjoyable.
