Updates on Opening-Closing of CU Gates and Parking Buildings: Effective 1 April 2020

Following the announcement from Chulalongkorn University on 21 March 2020 and 27 March 2020 to amend operation hours due to the rapid spread of COVID-19 and to ensure the utmost safety within the campus, Chulalongkorn University Safety and Traffic Control Center would like to announce changes to the opening-closing of gates and parking buildings as follows:

East Side of Campus

• The gates at the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy

• 24 hours of strict screening of cars and pedestrians
• The gates at the Faculty of Science 
  • Only allowing cars to exit, with 24 hours strict screening.
• The gates at the Faculty of Political science
  • Strict screening of cars and pedestrians between 8:00 am – 6:00 pm
  • Allow cars to exit the building on a case-by-case basis
• Parking Building 2 (Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Building)
  • Closed from 1 – 30 April 2020
• Parking Building 3 (Faculty of Political Science)
  • Closed from 1 – 30 April 202

West Side of Campus

• The gates at CU Dharma Center (Chula Soi 42)
  • 24 hours strict screening of cars and pedestrians
• The gates at the Faculty of Education (Chamchuri 5 Building)
  • Only open to pedestrians with strict screening between 8:00 am – 6:00 pm
• The gates at the student dorms near Phayathai Road
  • 24 hours strict screening of cars and pedestrians
• Parking Building 1
  • Open from 5:00 am – 12:00 am with strict screening in the area

Faculty of Pharmacy, Dentistry, and Veterinary Science 

• 24 hours strict screening of cars and pedestrians

Chula Phat Building

• The gates at Chula Phat 14 Building
  • Open from 5:00 am – 12:00 am
• Parking Building 4
  • Open from 5:00 am – 12:00 am

Only the following visitors are allowed on campus:

• Vehicles with a red, blue or green sticker.
• Vehicles of third-party providers that require campus access. Please notify the relevant departments in advance.
• Vehicles of students that require campus access. Please notify the relevant faculties / departments in advance.
• Only university students, staff, and professors are allowed to enter the university by foot. Identification is required upon entry.
• Other visitors are not allowed on campus, except for visitors who have received in advance permission of entry from the faculty / department. 
• Motorbikes delivering packages to students in dorms may drop off items only at the dorm entrance on Phayathai Road.
