Chula Professor Receives Outstanding Scientist Award 2020

Congratulations to Professor Dr. Suttichai Assabumrungrat from Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, who was honored with the 2020 Outstanding Scientist Award.

Granted annually by the Foundation for the Promotion of Science and Technology under the Royal Patronage of His Majesty the King, the awards honor individuals who have excelled and made great contributions to scientific research.

The press release was held on 17 August 2020, at the Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao. Prof.Dr. Anek Laothamatas, Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, presided over the event and gave the congratulatory speech, while Professor Dr. Jumras Limtrakul, Chair of Outstanding Scientist Award Committee, announced the award recipients.

Prof. Dr. Suttichai has been recognized for his outstanding scientific research on “Multifunctional Reactor and Process Intensification for Chemical, Petrochemical and Bio-refinery Industries”. Other award recipients included Dr. Wonnop Visessanguan from the National Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (BIOTECH), National Science and Technology Development Agency.  Moreover, two outstanding young scientist awards were presented to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Taweetham Limpanuparb from Mahidol University International College and Dr. Pichaya Pattanasattayavong from Vidyasirimedhi Institute of Science and Technology.
