Announcement The COVID-19 Committee Chulalongkorn University Measures implemented after Members of the Community Found to Have Been Infected with the 2019 Corona Virus (COVID-19) 3/2021

With reference to the announcements (1/2021 and 2/2021 dated February 5 and 6, 2021) regarding measures implemented after members of the Chula community have been found to be infected by the Corona Virus (COVID-19) and that all patients have been admitted for treatment at the hospital;
The COVID-19 Committee Chulalongkorn University has taken action to ensure that the persons who came into close contact with this group of patients immediately be called to be screened at the Chulalongkorn Health Center and has found an additional three infected persons. They had resided in rooms opposite to the first group of patients and had been in close physical contact with each other.
The Committee has therefore introduced additional guidelines as follows:
- That the three new infected persons be investigated as soon as possible.
- That the persons who came into close contact with these three patients be called to be screened at the Chulalongkorn University Health Service Center immediately.
- That there be compliance to the Chulalongkorn University announcement dated February 7, 2021 that all residents of Chulanivas Building follow “Work from Home” procedures. Other cases shall be determined by the relevant Section Head or the supervising Vice President accordingly.
- That Chulanivas be determined as an area in need of special attention with proactive measures taken to ensure that all residents are screened from February 7, 2021 onwards.
As of February 6, 2021 the Chulalongkorn University Health Service Center has screened a total of 230 residents and is still closely monitoring the situation there. We therefore assure you that the situation remains under the university’s control and urge all persons who enter the university campus to strictly comply with the measures that have been implemented to prevent the infection of the 2019 Corona Virus (COVID-19).
Should there be any further developments on this matter the COVID-19 Committee Chulalongkorn University will provide further updates and information via the https://www.chula.ac.th/covid-19/ website under “Featured”.
