Announcement The COVID-19 Committee Chulalongkorn University Measures Implemented after Members of the Community Are Found to Have Been Infected with the 2019 Corona Virus (COVID-19) 4/2021

With reference to the announcement that residents of the staff dormitory building have been found to be infected by the Corona Virus (COVID-19) and that all patients have been admitted for treatment at Chulalongkorn Hospital;

The COVID-19 Committee of Chulalongkorn University has taken proactive measures to screen the 230 persons deemed to have been in close contact with those infected staff members and as such an additional 6 persons have been found to be infected by the 2019 Corona Virus (COVID-19) bringing the total number of cases to 13 infected persons. 

The Committee has therefore introduced the following guidelines:

1. Expanding the proactive screening to an additional 389 persons (bringing the total number of persons screened for the virus to 619).
2. Carrying out urgent investigations in collaboration with the Institute for Urban Disease Control and Prevention, the Department of Disease Control and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration’s Public Health Center 5.

The situation remains under the university’s control and all persons who enter the university campus are urged to strictly comply with the measures that have been implemented to prevent the infection of the 2019 Corona Virus (COVID-19).
