Chula Law Students Make History by Representing Thailand in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition (Global Round)

Congratulations to the team of Chula law students for being the first representative from Thailand in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition (Global Round).

The team, consisting of Ms. Rinreda Sakiyalak, Ms. Thanyalak Prasomtong, Mr. Andaman Saithong, Ms. Pimkul Triamvicharnkul, and Ms. Chatmanee Trisonthi, under the supervision of Dr. Papawadee Tanodomdej, Faculty of Law, is the first and only team from Thailand to pass the preliminary round to the White & Case Advanced Round of the competition. This accomplishment broadcasts the academic ability of Thai law students on the world stage, bringing recognition to Chulalongkorn University and Thailand.

The Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition is a competition for law students from leading universities to showcase their capabilities through simulated proceedings before the International Court of Justice. Over 600 law student teams from 160 countries around the world participated in this year’s competition.

The sense of kinship and warmth found in the Chula community is priceless and a treasure worth keeping.
