Advice for those entering the university campus for work purposes from July 5-18, 2021

Attn:  Vice Presidents, Deans and Directors,

Following Chulalongkorn University’s announcement regarding the extension of temporary closure of offices, class management and general operations during the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak (No.4) dated June 27, 2021 extending the period of temporary closure of offices, management of classes to be conducted online and that staff mainly carry out their work from home for the duration from July 5, 2021 up until August 1, 2021 and that the Section Head or the supervising Vice President in charge may approve or permit only staff members or students who have received their vaccination doses as determined whereby necessity or urgency dictates to enter the university campus for the purpose of work, research or thesis and dissertation activities, 

Since it has become apparent, over the past week, that the number of those infected with COVID-19 has increased rapidly and continuously to unprecedented levels, the University is extremely concerned about the safety and well-being of those who enter its premises during the time of the university closure and in order to prevent the COVID-19 outbreak among from intensifying the COVID-19 Committee Chulalongkorn University hereby requests that the Section Head or the supervising Vice President in charge during the period from July 5, 2021 up until July 18, 2021 ensure the compilation of the  following:

  1. Urging and instructing staff members to work from home as much as possible.
  2. Permitting or allowing staff members or students to enter the university premises for the purpose of carrying out their work only in cases where it is absolutely necessary or urgently required.
