Chulalongkorn University Announcement Re: Organization of Classes and Assessment during the University Games of Thailand

Since Chulalongkorn University will be sending its student representatives to compete in the 48^th University Games of Thailand taking place between January 21-30, 2023 at Rajabhat Udon Thani University, Udon Thani province,

In order to assure that the students who are representing the university be able to perform their athletic tasks to the best of their abilities and with the least disruption to their studies, with the approval of University’s deans at their 21/2022 meeting held on Wednesday July 20^th, 2022, the University determines the following:

1. Students who are university athletes shall attend the University Games of Thailand from January 19-31, 2023 during which time those days will not be counted as an absence from class.
2. All courses with students who are university athletes shall

• Hold Hyflex (Hybrid-Flexible Classroom) tuition with recorded lectures from January 13-31, 2023 or hold make-up classes after the games are over if the lecturer considers that appropriate.
• Practicum activities taking place in each class as well as extra-curricular activities should be deferred as necessary so as to allow students who are university athletes to be able to revise or follow up on their studies once the games are over.

3. All subjects with students who are university athletes shall refrain from assessing students requiring submission of assignments or minor tests between January 19-31, 2023.  This is to enable the students to perform their athletic tasks to the best of their abilities. 

As such, please note that all other students shall attend classes as normal.
