The Center of Excellence for Parkinson’s Disease & Related Disorders, King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital has launched PDPlus application to help Parkinson’s patients record their symptoms in real-time and send them reminders for their medications.  PD Plus App also has motor coordination evaluation games, and reporting system to connect with doctors for close monitoring.

Chula’s team from the Faculties of Medicine and Engineering has successfully developed Thailand’s first hip prosthesis to treat senior citizens with broken hips to recover fast and at a lower cost. The team is hoping to produce other prostheses like knee and other joints to improve the quality of life of seniors in our aging society.

A graduate student at Chula’s Faculty of Education has designed a “Creative Weaving” tool kit to inspire people of all ages to enjoy simple weaving activities that don’t require basic skill or knowledge. The activity is fun and helps improve concentration.
