Speaking to KBS about the cold wave, Dr. Kittiwoot Chaloeytoy, a researcher at the Environmental Research Institute at Chulalongkorn University in Thailand, said: “Climate change is the direct cause of extreme weather, accelerating La Niña-like phenomena even more severely.”
