Chulalongkorn University’s Center of Learning Network for the Region (CLNR) in Nan Signs an MOU on the 2023 Conservation and Preservation of the Green Areas in Ratchaphatsadu Land Project in Nan.

Chulalongkorn University’s Center of Learning Network for the Region (CLNR) in Nan held a meeting to sign an MOU on the 2023 conservation and preservation of the green areas in the Ratchaphatsadu land project in Nan.  

On Tuesday, March 28, 2023, Chulalongkorn University’s Center of Learning Network for the Region (CLNR) in Nan held a meeting to sign the MOU on the 2023 conservation and preservation of the green areas in Ratchaphatsadu land project in Nan between the Treasury Department in Nan and Chulalongkorn University at Meeting Room 103, Vichakham 2 Building, Pha Sing Research and Technology Station, Pha Sing, Mueang Nan, Nan. The MOU was signed by Prof. Dr. Narin Hiransuthikul, M.D., Vice President of Chulalongkorn University, representing the university, and Mr. Songpol Sapwattanakul, Treasurer of Nan, representing the Treasury Department in Nan, with Asst. Prof. Dr. Noppadon. Kitana, Director of CLNR, and Mr. Sornchat Bua-Um, senior surveyor, as witnesses. Mr. Theera Panyain, a member of the Nan Provincial Administrative Organization, Mrs. Saiphon Kamtem, Chief Administrator of Lai Nan Sub-District Administrative Organization, and Mr. Sakchai Manopak, Head of Nan Area Management, also attended the meeting.

The MOU on the 2023 conservation and preservation of the green areas in the Ratchaphatsadu land project in Nan aims to align the project with the Sustainable Development Goals according to Thailand’s 20-Year National Strategy (2018 – 2037) regarding Sustainable Development and Growth and an increase in greenhouse gas absorption (carbon credit from trees). The Nan Treasury Department and Chulalongkorn University’s Center of Learning Network for the Region (CLNR) oversee the conservation and preservation of the green area in Ratchaphatsadu land plot number Nor Nor 886 (partial) in Lai Nan Sub-District, Wiang Sa District, Nan, over a period of no less than 5 years. Both parties agree to collaborate for the utmost efficiency of the project.
