International Conference on “From Performance Research to Cultural Ecologies: Creating Sustainable Artistic Communities”

Chulalongkorn University‘s Innovation in Art and Culture project, together with the Ratchadapisek Sompoch Endowment Fund, the Thailand Science Research and Innovation (TSRI) and Performance Practice as Research (PPAR), invite all to attend the international conference on “From Performance Research to Cultural Ecologies: Creating Sustainable Artistic Communities”. The sessions will be held on 19 – 20 July 2019 from 09.00 – 18.00 hrs. at room 802, Chaloem Rajakumari 60 Building (Chamchuri 10), Chulalongkorn University.

The conference highlights include:

– Keynote speaker sessions on
“Artistic Research as Knowledge in Higher Education”,
delivered by Professor Dr. Danny Butt Victorian College of the Arts, University of Melbourne, Australia

“Cultural Ecologies of Performance in Communities”,
presented by Mark Teh, Malaysian Artist and Producer @Five Arts Center

– Research presentations and round-table discussions by special performances and transdisciplinary researchers in Thailand

– Research presentations and round-table discussions by special artists, experts and cultural organizations from the Asia-Pacific region (Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Japan and Australia)
