Chulalongkorn University recently underwent a quality assessment of four academic programs from the Faculty of Dentistry and the Faculty of Political Science, using the ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) standards. The evaluation—officially the 491st AUN-QA Programme Assessment—was conducted from June 10 to 12, 2025, in Room 202 of the Chamchuri 4 Building. The opening ceremony on June 10, 2025, was presided over by Professor Dr. Parichart Sthapitanonda, Vice President of Chulalongkorn University, who also presented a token of appreciation to Prof. Dr. Alyssa Peleo-Alampay, Chief/Lead Assessor from AUN.
Following the opening, the assessment team visited several Chulalongkorn University facilities, including the Health Service Center, Sports Center, and Office of Academic Resources. They also conducted interviews with stakeholders involved in the assessed programs—such as faculty and curriculum administrators, academic and support staff, current students, alumni, and employers of graduates.
The closing ceremony of the assessment took place on June 12, 2025, with Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University, delivering the closing remarks. The event concluded with a luncheon at the Chula Narumit House.
The AUN-QA Programme Assessment uses ASEAN regional standards to evaluate the quality of academic programs, aiming to ensure that graduates meet the needs of Thai and global societies. Chulalongkorn University has undergone several such assessments in the past, which have contributed to ongoing improvements in education quality and international recognition. The university continues to encourage other programs to participate in AUN-QA assessments.
