The Freshmen Welcome Ceremony for the 2025 academic year was organized in three sessions:

The event commenced with a safety video presentation by the Office of Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment, followed by a drum performance by students from the Faculty of Architecture.

An array of activities was organized throughout the program. The first segment, “Once Upon a Talk,” shared Chula’s unique identity, including the Phra Kiao emblem, the rain tree (Chamchuri), the color pink, and the “Maha Chulalongkorn” anthem. This was followed by a live performance of Chula’s theme songs by the CU Symphony Orchestra

The second segment, “Relax and Enjoy the Flight,” featured a lighthearted sitcom performance integrating life lessons for new students at Chulalongkorn. During this segment, the freshmen also viewed a video message from Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University, who outlined the university’s strategic vision: “Chula’s Holistic Growth with Students at the Center.” He also offered reflections and advice on university life.

The final segment, “CU Flight Vow,” featured a performance by the CU Chorus with their rendition of “Chamchuri Sri Chula” and “Chamchuri Pradap Jai.” Ms. Kewalee Eakyokaya, President of the Chulalongkorn Student Government Organization, and Mr. Chawanwit Kanchanautai, President of the Chulalongkorn Student Council, led the ceremonial procession of the Phra Kiao and faculty flags into the auditorium.

The ceremony concluded with all new students reciting their pledge as Chulalongkorn students and singing the university’s anthem, “Maha Chulalongkorn,” in unison.

Chula’s encouragement and support for research is excellent for teachers, students, and the public.
