Chula Hosts Third Merit-Making Alms-Giving Ceremony in Tribute to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit 

Chulalongkorn University, through the Dhammasathan and the Office of Arts and Culture Management, organized the 3rd “Merit-Making” alms-giving activity as a royal tribute to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother of Thailand, on Friday, November 14, 2025, at the Chula Thai House.

Prof. Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University, together with university administrators, faculty members, staff, and students, participated in offering alms to 10 monks from Wat Saket. The event featured a Dhamma talk by Phra Kanchana Suyanikaphod, Pali Level 9, from Wat Saket Ratchawora Mahawihan, dedicated as a royal merit-making activity for Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother of Thailand.

The university invites the Chulalongkorn community and Buddhist devotees to join the almsgiving to monks as a royal tribute to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit at the Chula Thai House every Friday for a total of 9 sessions from October 31, 2025, to January 9, 2026 (except Friday, December 5, 2025, and Friday, January 2, 2026). 

The sense of kinship and warmth found in the Chula community is priceless and a treasure worth keeping.
