Chula Ranks Top 20 in the World and Top 4 in Asia in THE Interdisciplinary Science Rankings 2026 

Chulalongkorn University has once again brought pride to Thailand’s higher education sector by being the only Thai university to be ranked in the global Top 20 (19th), 4th in Asia, 3rd in ASEAN, and 1st among Thai universities in the THE Interdisciplinary Science Rankings 2026. The results were announced on November 20, 2025, covering a total of 1,267 ranked universities worldwide. 

THE ISR 2026 is a form of global ranking that evaluates universities based on interdisciplinary science research. It assesses institutions according to three pillars: inputs—such as research funding from industry and government; process—such as measures of research success, infrastructure, administration, and incentive systems; and outputs—such as the quantity and quality of published interdisciplinary research, as well as research value, impact, and reputation. Chulalongkorn University received an overall score of 78.6, reflecting its vision and commitment to advancing interdisciplinary scientific research to address global challenges.
