Chula Care App Adds New Features for Patients During COVID-19 Pandemic

Chula Care App is an application developed for King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital to accommodate patients, relatives, and hospital staff through an online channel for a fast and convenient service. The application can alert patients of upcoming appointments at least a day in advance via SMS, provide information regarding treatment eligibility benefits, such as social security or universal health care, and notify the status of payment instructions via mobile banking for all banks.

The latest feature added collects patients’ medical information to deliver medicine straight to their home. Users can register via Chula Care App and fill in their address and phone number for home delivery. This new function aims to facilitate patients during COVID-19 and reduce the cost of travelling to the hospital.

Another initiative to help the public during COVID-19 is the launch of LINE @chulacovid19, a communication channel created to help provide initial screening for high-risk COVID-19 patients. The LINE account is managed by doctors and specialists from Chulalongkorn University who are available to answer inquiries regarding COVID-19, along with give advice and precautions on how to conduct oneself during this time. The service is aimed to reduce the amount of hospital visitors and reduce the transmission of disease. The service is available on weekdays from 9:00am – 5:00pm.
