The 11th International Graduate Students Conference on Population and Public Health Sciences

On Tuesday, 14 July 2020, the College of Public Health Sciences at Chulalongkorn University, the Institute for Population and Social Research, and the ASEAN Institute for Health Development at Mahidol University, organized a virtual conference for the “11th International Graduate Students Conference on Population and Public Health Sciences” via the ZOOM program.

The conference was organized to support academic cooperation in teaching, research, and activities for graduate students, as well as distribute to the public knowledge and research related to public health, public health sciences, and demography.

Prof. Dr. Bundhit Eua-arporn, President of Chulalongkorn University gave the opening speech, followed by speeches from Prof. Dr. Sathirakorn Pongpanich, Dean of the College of Public Health Sciences, Assist. Prof. Dr. Phudit Tetjativaddhana, Director of the ASEAN Institute for Health Development (AIHD), and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aree Jampaklay, Director of the Institute for Population and Social Research, Mahidol University.

During the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wassana Im-Em, Assistant Representative of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) for Thailand, gave a special lecture. About 90 participants joined the conference and included people from Thailand and overseas, such as Indonesia, Myanmar, Vietnam, and Nepal.

Chula is the place to discover one’s true individuality and the years I spent here were most enjoyable.
