Chulalongkorn University Ranks 1st in Thailand for Four Consecutive Years

Chulalongkorn University continues its first rank in Thailand for four consecutive years, according to the 2020 Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings: Asia, released this week.
In the latest ranking that got Asia’s 550 best institutions listed, Chulalongkorn University is now placed 7th in ASEAN and 45th in Asia. It ranks no. 1 in Thailand among 20 Thai universities listed this year, QS reports that Academic Reputation, Employer reputation and International research network are strength of Chulalongkorn University.
Two universities in Thailand have made the list of top 50 Asian universities are Chulalongkorn University (45th) and Mahidol University (48th), followed by Chiang Mai University (100th), Thammasat University (107th) and Kasetsart University (127th).
For the third consecutive year, the National University of Singapore is ranked Asia’s best university. It is followed by Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and the University of Hong Kong.
Eleven calibrated performance indicators used to compile the QS Asia University Rankings, including Academic reputation (30%), Employer reputation (20%), Faculty/student ratio (10%), International research network (10%), citations per paper (10%) and papers per faculty (5%), staff with a PhD (5%), proportion of international faculty (2.5%) and proportion of international students (2.5%), as well as proportion of inbound exchange students (2.5%) and proportion of outbound exchange students (2.5%).
