King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital and the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, have partnered with True Digital to deploy a suite of robotic innovations to assist in patient services, leveraging Physical AI technology to drive the transformation toward a Digital Hospital. The strategic collaboration was officially launched with the participation of Associate Professor Dr. Jiruth Sriratanaban, MD, Director of King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, Thai Red Cross Society, and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, along with Mr. Ekaraj Panjavinin, Chief Digital Officer of True Corporation Public Company Limited. The launch event, aimed at elevating the Digital Hospital through Digital Intelligence Fabric and Physical AI, was held on January 30, 2026, at Rattanavithaya Building, King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, the Thai Red Cross Society.
This collaboration integrates medical knowledge and expertise with next-generation digital infrastructure technology from True Digital. It introduces a Digital Intelligence Fabric that connects technologies from the infrastructure level through to software and application layers—particularly Physical AI, which combines the power of cloud computing and artificial intelligence with robotics technology. This integration builds upon the prototype “Robot for Assisting in the Treatment of Thyroid Cancer Using Radioactive Iodine,” enhancing its functionality to operate in a more comprehensive, end-to-end manner. New robot models were also unveiled to support the growing number of thyroid cancer patients and to enable closer, more continuous patient care.
In addition, another latest innovation was introduced: a “Medical Robot for Treatment and Physical Rehabilitation,” designed to assist in the care of tuberculosis patients. This represents a significant advancement in intelligent robotic innovation tailored to meet medical service needs in all dimensions. The robots help enhance the quality of patient services, reduce risks for physicians and medical staff during operations, improve efficiency and accuracy, and strengthen King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital’s transformation into a Digital Hospital. The initiative also plays a key role in advancing Thailand’s public healthcare system toward fully realized Digital Healthcare.
On this occasion, Associate Professor Dr. Chanchai Sittipunt, Advisor to the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, and a specialist in respiratory and critical care medicine at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital; Associate Professor Dr. Jariya Boonhong, Head of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital; Associate Professor Dr. Kanaungnit Kingpetch, Head of the Robot Development Team in Nuclear Medicine, Department of Radiology, King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital; and Mr. Natwut Amornvivat, Executive Director of True Corporation Public Company Limited and Chairman of True Digital Group Company Limited, together with Mr. Ekaraj Panjavinin, Chief Digital Officer of True Corporation Public Company Limited, and Mr. Chatchai Kruarat, Deputy Managing Director of True Digital Group Company Limited, also attended the event.
Associate Professor Dr. Jiruth Sriratanaban, MD, Director of King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, Thai Red Cross Society, and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, stated, “The Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, and King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, Thai Red Cross Society, share a vision of applying digital technology within the hospital to drive transformation toward a digital hospital, enhancing service quality while also caring for physicians and medical personnel. The success of developing patient-care robotic innovations through this collaboration with True Digital Group marks an important milestone that reflects the commitment of both organizations to closely integrate expertise and work together to apply technology in ways that deliver tangible results. This includes enhancing the capabilities of prototype robots, scaling their deployment, and developing new generations of medical robots capable of providing a wider range of patient services. These patient-care robotic innovations not only increase patient satisfaction and elevate the quality of care, but also help reduce workloads and risks for physicians and medical staff in clinical environments. We believe this success will serve as a model and a new starting point for expanding collaboration—not only within the hospital, but also extending care beyond hospital walls to other hospitals, as well as to homes and communities in the future.”
Mr. Ekaraj Panjavinin, Chief Digital Officer of True Corporation Public Company Limited, added that “The core of this strategic collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, and King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital lies in adopting the Digital Intelligence Fabric concept as the primary infrastructure for weaving together and connecting digital technologies—from foundational infrastructure such as 5G and broadband to software, platforms, and applications—to create a seamlessly connected digital health ecosystem capable of sustainably supporting medical innovation. On this foundation, True Digital Group has introduced Physical AI, which integrates the capabilities of cloud computing, AI, and robotics to elevate robots with intelligence that enables them to perceive, analyze, and respond accurately to their environments. This enhances operational efficiency, reduces risk, and improves safety for physicians and medical personnel. The development of patient-service robotic innovations combines medical expertise with advanced digital technology to deliver tangible benefits to patients through close, friendly, and satisfying care, while serving as a key driving force in advancing the Digital Hospital strategy and making Digital Healthcare a reality within Thailand’s public healthcare system.”
